Design Notes

The sequence had to be compatible with the Biobrick standard. Therefore, Biobrick prefix and suffix was added upstream and downstream of the coding sequence.


Source

The Cytochrome c is derived from the Gram-negative bacteria Rhodotermus marinus and is codon-optimized for the use in Escherichia coli. It was ordered as gBlock from IDT (Integrated DNA Technologies).
