Design Notes

The part was designed such that the DCD-1L peptide could be produced in E.coli without killing the host. So Smt3 fusion tag was added to the DCD-1L. Further for effective purification of DCD-1L after expression, His tag was added. Hence design was based on effective production and purification of the desired peptide DCD-1L.

It is codon optimized for E. coli.

Source

The part encodes for a human peptide. It is chemically synthesized and obtained as double-stranded DNA fragment, gBlock from IDT. (https://eu.idtdna.com/pages/products/genes/gblocks-gene-fragments)
