Plasmid pCK01MS1 is based on pCK01 [1], a low-copy cloning vector that confers chloramphenicol resistance (CmR) and harbours an oriV.

In contrast to the original cloning vector, we removed an intrinsic SpeI site by PCR and also introduced the following MCS:
