B-carotene (orange pigment) producing operon

Part contains the four genes CrtEBIY, which form the B-carotene biosynthesis pathway.

The four genes sequentially convert fanesyl diphosphate into B-carotene (a vitamin A precursor)

B-carotene also has an orange pigment
