Aflatoxins frequently contaminate agricultural commodities and thus pose serious health hazards to plants, humans and domestic animals. In liver, CYP3A4 and CYP1A2 are key enzymes that metabolize mycotoxin. CYP2A13 is the main enzyme in human lung. It metabolizes toxin, including tobacco and aflatoxin.
