Constitutive tetR + UNS

This is a composite part with a constitutive Anderson promoter J23105 to express TetR repressor. Part used to express the repressor TetR that can bind to pTET (promoter) to block the expression of GFP (or any gene that pTET controls). The tetR repressor protein can be temporarily blocked by aTc induction to allow for transcription of gene product controlled by pTET.

This part is on the UNS backbone standard developed by William and Mary iGEM 2016, for ease of cloning via Gibson or Golden Gate Assembly. The insert is flanked by UNS 2 (BBa_K2066018) and UNS 3 (BBa_K2066019) sequences.
