iRFP713 (the fluorescent protein formerly known as "iRFP")

General Properties

This fluorescent protein has an excitation wavelength of 690 nm and an emission wavelength of 713 nm. The extinction coefficient is 98000 M-1 cm-1. Its quantum yield is 6.3%. Its photostability half-life is 960 seconds. Its pKa is 4.5. Near-infrared fluorescent proteins are good for long-term in vivo imaging and exhibit high brightness in bacteria, mammalian cells, and mice.
