Design Notes

The gene sequence is the reverse complement of the appropriate segment of the whole genome sequence [complement(AE013046.1:4931..5236)].

Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis MB4. Sequence taken from GenBank:[gi:20807277].AE013046. Many other SASP sequences are available in GenBank, allowing for selection of GC-content, coding bias, etc. The choice of the T. tencongensis protein was based on its greater-than-average length and relatively recent availability from a whole-genome sequencing project.
