isochorismate pyruvate-lyase and isochorismate synthase (pchBA); converts chorismate to salicylate

PchBA codes for proteins used to generate salicylic acid (the precursor to methyl salicylate or wintergreen scent) from chorismate, a common metabolite found in most bacteria. PchB and PchA are at the downstream end of the PchDCBA operon that Pseudomonas species use to encode enzymes to make pyochelin, a molecule that helps them acquire iron. This part doesn't make a fusion protein, even though the coding regions of the two genes overlap; the RBS for PchA is located at the end of the coding region of PchB.
