Design Notes

We use this enzyme as the first enzyme in the pathway to create PLA or Polylactic acid. Lactate can also act as acceptors for the enzyme. In our project, the enzyme will catalyze the reaction: acetyl-CoA + lactate <--> acetate + Lactyl-CoA.
