Background of nicF:

Part Description:

Codon optimized coding sequence of nicF, an enzyme from the Pseudmonas putida bacterium KT2240, for E.Coli. This composite part was used to make our part BBa_K1813023.

Part Origin:

Originally cloned and characterized by Jimenez et al. from Pseudmonas putida KT2240 [1].

Part Function:

The enzyme coded for by nicF converts Maleamic Acid to Maleic Acid.
