FsC+sJanus Fusion Protein
Cutinase, which hydrolyses cutin, has previously shown that it can also hydrolyze plastic, such as poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). Hydrophobin, small secreted fungal protein, has previously shown that it can improve the rate of plastic hydrolysis. We choose cutinase from Fusarium solani (FsC) to investigate its activity of hydrolyzing PET and whether its PET hydrolyzing activity could be enhanced by fusion to class Ⅱ Hydrophobin HFBI.
