PpelA

PpelA is an inducible pectate lyase promoter from Aspergillus nidulans. It is repressed by glucose and inducible by polygalacturonic acid. Thus, controlled gene expression can be achieved by cloning the desired gene downstream of PpelA. PpelA was constructed by digesting the part pHNU3pelA with the BamHI and KpnI restriction enzymes and ligating the digested fragment into the pSB1C3 backbone appended with BamHI and KpnI restriction sites.
