Lambda cI CDS

.

Design Notes

Lambda cI CDS. this part is the coding sequence for the cI protein from Lammbda bacteriophage. the cI protein acts as a repressor for the cI promoter (BBa_C0051) cI is used to repress a certain promoter that prevents and delays the the entrance to lytic phase of the viral cycle.

this part was used as a part of a translational unit that inhibits the production of toxins and part of the delay mechanism for our project.

Source

part sequence was taken from genbank. part also exists with the addition of LVA tag in the iGEM registry (BBa_K1224002).
