EntE - Enterobactin synthesis gene E

Out of the 6 genes involved in the synthesis of Enterobactins (siderophores of Escherichia coli), this is gene E. Along with EntD and EntF, its role is to catalyze the cyclization of three molecules of 2,3-dihydroxebenzoic acid into one molecule of enterobactin
