Acetate Kinase (AcK) from Escherichia coli

ackA encodes the protein acetate kinase. Under low glucose Ack phosphorylates acetate allowing it to be converted to acetyl-CoA by phosphotransacetylase (ASDASD). When there is an excess of glucose, the reaction runs in reverse and ACK converts acetyl-phosphate into acetate. Sequence and Features
