alcohol acetyltransferase I (ATF1)

This enzyme catalyzes the reaction of isoamyl alcohol -> isoamyl acetate

Usage and Biology

  1. The gene ATF1 encodes the enzyme alcohol acetyltransferase 1, which produces acetate esters from acetyl CoA and alcohols. Horton et al. report using 10mM isoamyl alcohol.
