Regulator fnr, upregulated by rotten meat volatiles in B. subtilis

This is a regulator in B. subtilis which is upregulated when in the presence of volatiles from rotten meat.

Usage and Biology

FNR is upregulated in the presence of volatiles from spoiled meat (experimental data [2012.igem.org/Team:Groningen iGEM Groningen 2012]) and in the presence of nitrate at anearobic environments*.
