IPTG inducible Cysteine desulfhydrase (CysDes)

This composite part was designed to construct a working CysDes gene under the control of an inducible promoter: the presence of IPTG inhibits the LacI repressor protein binding to the LacO operator; in this way it allows the RNApol to bind to the Ptac promoter and trascribe the gene of interest. In this case the gene of interest is a Cysteine Desulfhydrase, an aminotransferase that converts cysteine into pyruvate, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.
