Design Notes

  • The peptide sequence is repetitive [EAAAR][EAAAR][EAAAR][EAAAR] (Yan et al., 2007). In order to reduce repetition at the DNA sequence level, human-optimazed codons were distributed randomly along the sequence. This was done using a permutation tool I found online, along with some tedious manual text editing to create more variation where the sequence still looked too repetitive
  • De novo DNA synthesis was provided by Genscript
