Design Notes

oriT, or Origin of Transfer, is a DNA platform which allows for the transfer of plasmid DNA from one organism to another. Relaxases and nickases are responsible for the cut of the DNA, rolling circle replication of one of the plasmid strands, and mediated transfer to the receptor organism.
