Applications of BBa_J100039

GalP1b.png Test Tube #1- contained promoter galP1 Test Tube #2- contained promoter galP1 with arabinose Test Tube #3- contained transcription terminator J100028 Test Tube #4- contained pTet Test Tube #5- contained pLux Test Tube #6- contained pLux with inducer For test tube #1 there was an insignificant amount of RFP because it is an inducible promoter; therefore, the promoter was not turned on due to the absence of an inducer and transcription did not occur. Test tube #2 also generated an insignificant amount of red fluorescent protein even in the presence of an inducer, arabinose, because the promoter galP1 can only be turned on by the inducer galactose.
