Design Notes

In order to ensure that the novel antimicrobial peptide of human origin can be successfully expressed in E. coli EcN, we performed codon optimization. Meanwhile, we selected different promoters for gene expression to ensure the feasibility of plasmid design.

Source

The novel antimicrobial peptide is discoverd from the Lactobacilli in the human vaginal flora. Since the sequence screening of this protein was done by our host lab of NJTech-China upfront and the related papers and data have not been published yet, we cannot cite the source at this time.
