AGM1-NAG5-UAP1 operon for incorporation of N-acetylglucosamine into bacterial cellulose
This construct produces an excess of UDP-N-Acetylglucosamine in K. xylinus, which can be used by cellulose synthase to produce bacterial cellulose-chitin polymer.
