Design Notes

The protein sequence was codon-optimised for Escherichia coli through the IDT codon optimisation tool as gBlocks Gene Fragments.

The CDS was extracted from the protein sequence of the XYL1 gene in Scheffersomyces stipitis (strain ATCC 58785 / CBS 6054 / NBRC 10063 / NRRL Y-11545) from the Uniprot database.

The terminator is T1 from E. coli rrnB, in part BBa_B0010
