pTEF2
pTEF2 is a strong constitutive promoter in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The translation elongation factor EF-1 alpha of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is coded for by two genes, called TEF1 and TEF2. TEF2 alone is sufficient to promote growth of the cells as shown with a strain deleted for TEF1.
