Theophylline inactif aptazyme

An aptazyme is an aptamer-ribozyme combination with intrinsic RNA cleavage activity. this aptazyme is specific for the theophylline (ligand). Theophylline (1,3-dimethylxanthine) is a drug used in therapy for respiratory diseases and is structurally similar to theobromine and caffeine. It is composed in 3 different part, a twister ribozyme module, a communication module, and an aptamer module This sequence correspond to inactive aptazyme, this means that the ribozyme part is mutated and the aptazyme lost its capacity to cleave itself. iGEM Strasbourg 2019 used it as a negative control for the part: <BBa_K2923001>
