Pare promoter region

Pare is a AreR-regulated σ^54-dependent promoter in Acinetobacter sp. Strain ADP1. AreR can be activated by benzyl alcohol or other aromatic compounds such as benzyl acetate, benzaldehyde, 2- and 4-hydroxybenzyl acetates, benzyl propionate and butyrate. In the case of cofactor-induced DNA looping, a closed promoter complex will be formed with RNA polymerase to turn on the downstream gene transcription.
