miR-155 target sequence

It is the target sequence of miR-155, a modularized DNA part from a set of chemically synthetic oligo DNA library.

Usage and Biology

MiRNA locker assembled by using this modularized DNA part was able to bind miR-155 in an Ago2 dependent manner, that is, knockdown of miR-155 was achieved by transfecting cells with miRNA locker.

Dre-miR155 was firstly found in zebrafish.1

MiR-155-5p are highly expressed in the heart and regulate cardiac development. What’s more, miR-155-5p was overexpressed in trisomic hearts2.

MiR-155 downregulation in NK cells of IA patients impaired IFN-γ production by targeting SOCS1, which may contribute to immune dysfunction during CHB infection. Additionally, baseline miR-155 expression could predict the treatment response to telbivudine therapy3.
