QPI refers to a Italic textqItalic textuad-Italic textpItalic textart Italic textiItalic textnverter, that is, a PoPS-based inverter composed of four sub-parts: a ribosome binding site, a coding region for a repressor protein (Italic texte.g.,Italic text lambda cI), a terminator, and the promoter (Italic texte.g.,Italic text pLamdba) regulated by the coded repressor protein.
