Part:BBa_K1766003
OmpR controlled MicF
MicF is a non-coding RNA which regulates expression of the ompF (outer membrane porin F) gene in E. coli. MicF binds to the 5’-UTR of ompF mRNA, to prevent translation and promote degradation [1].
This part is intended to be used together with BBa_M30011 and BBa_K1766002 to form an OmpR regulated composite fluorescence system, BBa_K1766004, by iGEM Stockholm team 2015. Similarly, BBa_K1766005 and BBa_K1766006 were supposed to create BBa_K1766007, together with this part. BBa_K1766007 is an OmpR regulated quorum sensing system.
