Chromoprotein cjBlue with RBS

The device consists of a RBS (BBa_B0032) and the encoding region of the chromoprotein cjBlue. This part is a subpart of BBa_K1073026 and does not include a promoter.


Usage and Biology

This part does not include a promoter, thus the expression of cjBlue can be adjusted by using varied promoters. During cultivation the chromoprotein cjBlue is expressed and stored intracellular. The greenish color of the protein can be seen by naked eye, thus you can use the chromoprotein as a selection marker and seperate cells easily.
