Applications of BBa_K1073013

iGEM Team Braunschweig 2013 used this device for the construction of BBa_K1073034. It was used in order to induce growth in the presence of LasR and N-3-oxododecanoyl-HSL in ampicillin containing media.

This device was successfully employed in BBa_K1073034 to mediate ampicillin resistance in the presence of LasR and N-3-oxododecanoyl-HSL. Due to the leakiness of the promoter cells also grow when N-3-oxododecanoyl-HSL is not present. Uninduced activity of the promoter differs depending on strain and media used.
