Arginase (rocF)
This part has only rocF obtained from B.subtilis 168 by colony-PCR.
rocF is the cording region of Arginase(EC:3.5.3.1), catalyzing the reaction from arginine and water to urea and ornithine.
Original rocF has two EcoRI sites in ORF, so we changed these sites.
To characterize this part, we constructed the composite part(BBa_K649301). To know detailed infomation, please click here.
Introduction of BBa_K649301 containing arginase coding gene (rocF) led to production of some urea in strain MG1655 (argR +).
