pCEP4 with AarI A-D sites in MCS

This is an expression vector backbone, in which AarI A-D sites have been inserted into the MCS.


Usage and Biology

This vector is designed for high-level, constitutive expression from the CMV promoter. The vector contains the EBNA-1 gene for episomal expression in primate and canine cell lines.

Documentation and characterization

We are still in the midst of characterizing the episomal maintenance of constructs expressed with this plasmid--stay tuned! However, transient expression works though the same CMV promoter as our other expression vectors. We felt it was useful to provide this backbone for others interested in making stable lines through this method--hence its characterization as a "favorite."
