pdoA2 from Mycobacterium sp. strain 6PY1
Encodes Phenanthrene ring-hydroxylating oxygenase α-subunit. Presumably catalyses as a complex with pdoB2, phtAc and phtAd the oxidation of Phenanthrene-4-carboxylate to cis-phenanthrene-3,4-dihydrodiol-4-carboxylate. This is the fifth step in pyrene biodegradation. [1]
