Design Notes

  • The plasmid with the promoter inserts was ordered from Addgene, Cambridge (USA): Plasmid 14947, pHMGCS-Luc (aka: pES8)
  • We used the following primers with BBb_standard for the amplification and isolation of the HMG CoA synthase promoter:
    • primer forward: 5'-GATCGAATTCGCGGCCGCACTAGTCGATCTCCTCTCACTGACCTTC-3'
    • primer reverse: 5'-GATCCTGCAGGCGGCCGCGCTAGCGCAGCTTTATAGCCACCGACCC-3'
