AnAFP is an antifreeze protein derived from *Ammopiptanthus nanus*. This low-temperature-induced protein is predicted to protect the stability of membrane structures under cold conditions by binding to or dissociating from the membrane. It prevents the coagulation of macromolecules and plays a regulatory role by binding to or dissociating from calcium ions. We performed codon optimization of the AnAFP sequence for E.coli K12 to enable its expression in Escherichia coli, resulting in the production of antifreeze effects.
