RFP under Lac promoter control with a double inverter (Tet, cI)

To control leaky expression, we inserted a double inverter into the lac promoter. This should change the dynamics of expression enough to limit the problem, while still allowing for induction with IPTG.

Alma 2022 - Leaky vs. Induced Expression

We sought to test our double inverter system (see the model on our Wiki). So we streaked this culture and BBa_J04450 side by side on some agar plates, either with 0 or 100uM IPTG (to induce expression).

Consistent with our modelling, we found no leaky expression, but no significant induction as well.
