AOX1 promoter

AOX1 promoter is the binding site of universal primers for the transcriptional expression of methanol oxidase-1 expressed by AOX1. In our project, AOX1 promoter is located at the 5' end of Protease K gene. On the one hand, when our linear vector is transferred into yeast cells, AOX1 promoter can recombine with AOX1 gene in yeast chromosome. On the other hand, in the presence of methanol, it acts as the promoter of Proteinase K expression to initiate transcription, so as to express our protein.
