Lactate Dehydrogenase Constitutive Promoter for Lactobacillus sp.

Usage and Biology

The lactate dehydrogenase (ldhL) promoter is a constitutive promoter that has been used in Lactobacillus reuteri in our composite part BBa_K3183100. This is a constitutive promoter from the lactate dehydrogenase (ldhL) promoter from Lactobacillus acidophilus (Kim et al., 1991). Its activity was characterised by Lizier et al in 2010, see https://academic.oup.com/femsle/article/308/1/8/513999.
