MyoKinase (MK) in pSB1C3

Myokinase (MK) is a enzyme that transfers phosphate goups in order to convert adenine nucleotides (ATP, ADP, and AMP). Due to its function, this protein is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and energy levels [1]. This part is codon optimized for use in E.coli , has a N-terminal His tag and has a T7 promoter, medium strength RBS and double terminator. This part was originally designed by the 2017 Lethbridge iGEM team ( http://2017.igem.org/Team:Lethbridge). The part was initially characterized in the pUC57 plasmid (https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K2443033).

This part was improved by placing it into the pSbB1C3 plasmid.
