[AAV9]-Left-ITR
The Inverted Terminal Repeats (ITRs) are two 145-base sequences that locate on both sides of recombinant AAV (rAAV) shuttle plasmids. They are named so because of their symmetry, which has been shown to be required for efficient multiplication of the AAV. We extracted both left and right ITRs through PCR and ligated them to each side of AAV-9 shuttle plasmid respectively. AAV-9 virus particles were then packaged and applied in therapeutic use. This part (BBa_K2865002) encodes for the left ITR of AAV-9.
