This gene is a promoter from E.coli and activated by some stress like osmotic pressure or low temperature that involved in synthesis of the colanic acid capsular polysaccharide in E.coli. The genes(cps) are transcriptionally regulated by numerous proteins: RcsB, RcsC and AHK4. This promoter includes native rbs: ribosome binding site.
