FeSOD Clade C

There are different types of FeSODs from Symbiodinium, but this SOD came from Clade C, which is one of the most heat resistant clades of Symbiodinium. FeSOD resides in the chloroplast, whose main function is to convert superoxide anion radicals into hydrogen peroxide that can later be converted into water. This FeSOD is characterized in Chlamydomonas and therefore should be utilized only in Chlamydomonas or it can be codon optimized for other species.
