Modification of Phytoene synthase (PSY)

This part is the cDNA sequence of phytoene synthase derived from Zea mays. Codon optimization has been made for expression in rice (Oryza sativa). Phytoene synthase is one of the enzymes required for carotenoid biosynthesis. It catalyzes the convertion of geranylgenranyl diphosphate to phytoene.
