K1618013 contains the coding sequence for the enzyme phosphotransbutrylase of the butyrate biosynthetic pathways (Figure 1) from Coprococcus sp. (L2-50 DSM 16842) under control of the LacI promoter. Phosphotransbutrylase catalyzes the Conversion of Butyryl to/from Butyryl-CoA 1.
