ADH1 Terminator

The ADH1 terminator (Alcohol dehydrogenase) is a constitutive terminator in the budding yeast S.cerevisae.

Purpose and origin of the Biobrick

The ADH1 terminator was extracted by PCR from plasmids we ordered to addgene:Plasmid 44901 pFA6a-link-yoSuperfolderGFP-Kan and Plasmid 44873 pFA6a-link-yoSuperfolderGFP-CaURA3. A transcription terminator is necessary to avoid mRNA synthesis further than the gene of interest and control which sequence will serve as a 3'UTR, a regulatory subunit of the mRNA.
