"http://i.imgur.com/FwXzsYX.jpg According to the Biorad 500 basepair DNA ladder that we used , K1477014 measures at ~2600 base pairs with a pSB1C3 bckbone. This matches our quantitative data.
We also performed blue/white screening on x-gal plates. When the colonies grew they turned blue, proving that there is Beta-galactosidase activity occurring and that our inserted part is producing the alpha fragment to compliment the omega fragment which naturally occurs in Top 10 cells.
