Part:BBa_K896003
Sulfide quinone reductase(SQR) on neutral site 2 vector
Introduction of coding sequence
The coding sequence, sulfide quinone reductase(SQR), cloned out from Synechococcus sp. PCC 7002 plasmid pAQ7. SQR could transfer electrons from sulfide into the quinone pool and trigger the sulfide-dependent photosynthesis, which is only based on photosystem I and shuttle the photosystem II down. Fully introduction and cloning of SQR gene is on BBa_K896000. The assembly compatibility of BBa_K896000 is EcoRI and XbaI on 5' end and SpeI and PstI on 3' end.
Introduction of vector
The vector(provided from Dr. Pei-Hong Chen) is specific to neutral site 2 for Synechococcus elongatus PCC7942. The neutral site 2 vector(4538 bp) consists of trc promoter(1718-1963 bp), multiple cloning site(1965-2014 bp), and Streptomycin resistence gene(2555-3343 bp).
